Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of outpatient and neuro experience for a 13-week clinic assignment.
Details- Outpatient clinic setting within the PT Outpatient unit
- Patient population includes orthopedic and neurologic conditions
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- Epic experience preferred for charting
- Minimum 1 year of experience required in an outpatient clinic setting
- Neuro experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Wisconsin or Compact PT license required; pending license accepted at submission and must be obtained during compliance (license required if applicable)
- NIHSS certification may be pending at submission but must be completed during compliance
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including ankle sprains, DDD, DJD, hip and knee injuries, and spinal conditions
- Experience with neurologic conditions such as post-stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis preferred
- Skilled in assessment, documentation, and treatment planning including evaluations, POC, and discharge summaries
- Experience with modalities such as cervical traction and use of equipment like crutches and gait belts
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
- Main responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with orthopedic and neurologic conditions in an outpatient setting
- Duties include patient and family education, home exercise program instruction, and safety/injury prevention counseling
- Badge photo (passport-style) required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
- Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance
- Orientation includes facility modules averaging 3-4 hours, typically completed during the first day
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
- Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1-year separation
- Travel pairs are accepted
- Facility cannot accommodate travelers with latex allergies
