We are seeking experienced and compassionate Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) with PICU and/or NICU experience to join our growing clinical team. Position Overview
The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to medically complex pediatric residents within a home and group home setting. This role involves advanced clinical assessments, medication administration, ventilator and tracheostomy management, family communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe and effective patient care.
The RN works closely with clinical leadership, caregivers, respiratory staff, and interdisciplinary providers to support individualized care plans and promote optimal pediatric outcomes.

Reports to: Director of Nursing (DON)
Key Responsibilities
Pediatric Clinical Care & Assessments- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for medically complex pediatric residents
- Monitor and respond appropriately to changes in respiratory status, cardiac status, neurological condition, and overall patient stability
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans
- Support pediatric residents requiring ventilator management, tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and G-tube support
- Deliver compassionate, family-centered care while promoting resident comfort and safety
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies accurately and safely
- Monitor for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions
- Maintain accurate and timely Medication Administration Records (MARs) and nursing documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams regarding treatment plans and clinical concerns
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and support coordinators to ensure continuity of care
- Communicate effectively with families regarding resident condition updates and care needs
- Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary discussions
- Advocate for pediatric residents and families while promoting dignity and quality of life
- Complete all clinical documentation thoroughly, accurately, and timely
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control standards, and organizational policies
- Support quality assurance and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Maintain awareness of pediatric safety standards and emergency response procedures
- Respond confidently to medical emergencies and changes in resident condition
- Ensure emergency equipment and respiratory devices are functional and readily available
- Promote a safe, clean, and clinically appropriate care environment
- Support infection prevention and patient safety initiatives across assigned homes
Qualifications
Education & Licensure- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
- PICU and/or NICU experience strongly preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of pediatric critical care, pediatric home health, PICU, NICU, or medically complex pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, G-tubes, and medically fragile pediatric patients strongly preferred
- Home health or long-term pediatric care experience a plus
- Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm and clinically confident in emergency situations
- Excellent communication and family engagement skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to pediatric care
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Current BLS certification required
- PALS preferred
- ACLS preferred based on assigned population
