Job Description
As a Senior Project Manager - Construction - New London, you will be responsible for:
- Managing ground-up commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
- Developing and maintaining project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
- Leading project teams, including Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field staff
- Managing client relationships and serving as the primary point of contact
- Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
- Overseeing procurement, contract administration, and subcontractor buyouts
- Reviewing and processing RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Monitoring project costs and maintaining financial controls
- Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Leading project meetings and providing executive-level reporting
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements
- Managing project closeout and turnover activities

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of construction experience
- Extensive experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects
- Background in medical, office, educational, institutional, or commercial developments
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and cost control experience
- Proven leadership experience managing project teams and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
- Experience managing projects valued at $20M+ preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and project controls
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
