Data Lead
RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Lead in Orlando, FL.
Summary:We are seeking a Data & Analytics Lead to own the end-to-end analytics platform for a complex, multi-source data environment operating under compliance constraints. This is a hands-on technical leadership role. Initially, you will work as a senior individual contributor responsible for everything between raw ingested data and structured analytical outputs.
As the platform scales, you will build and lead a small team of data engineers and analysts. The data is fragmented, inconsistent, and evolves frequently. Your job is to make it reliable, explainable, and actionable for stakeholders making high-impact decisions.
What You'll Own:- End-to-end data pipelines: ingestion, transformation, validation, modeling, and structured outputs
- Scoring, ranking, and prioritization logic that produces actionable insights
- Forecasting and trend analysis built on historical, irregular, or sparse datasets
- Detection logic for anomalies, concentrations, and hidden dependencies across sources
- Internal reporting and dashboards used by operational and analytical teams
- Data quality monitoring and confidence scoring to communicate trust in outputs
- Schema design and versioned outputs for downstream system integration
- Workflow orchestration, scheduling, and failure handling across all pipelines
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles
- Strong Python and SQL skills with production pipeline ownership
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar)
- Experience with transformation frameworks (dbt or equivalent)
- Deep experience with relational databases for analytical workloads
- Proven experience building scoring, ranking, or risk models used by decision-makers
- Experience with time-series analysis and forecasting on noisy data
- Exposure to applied machine learning fundamentals
- Experience with entity resolution or data matching across disparate systems
- Comfort working with messy, ambiguous real-world data
- Ability to explain outputs in operational terms to non-technical stakeholders

- Experience with cloud-based data platforms
- Experience building BI dashboards or reporting tools
- Familiarity with columnar storage formats and downstream-friendly schemas
- Experience applying AI/ML techniques in production analytics (not research)
- Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments
- Background in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or industrial analytics
- Experience operating independently as the primary data owner on a small team
