Salary Range: $96,000 - $153,000

The Project Development Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing relationships with clients, and contributing to the overall growth of the company and the North Carolina Office. The market concentrations include Life Science, Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12, Mixed-Use, Cultural, Public, and Advanced Technology/Manufacturing in Raleigh-Durham and beyond.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, innovative, and an experienced (10+ years) business development and A/E/C Industry professional.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Maintain a strong network within local A/E/C community.
  • Continuously evaluate target geography/market sectors to stay up to date on trends and opportunities. pipeline that is both broad in scope across market sectors and matches the value proposition of the Consigli model.
  • Will gain an understanding of Client Account Plan strategies for key clients using knowledge of market, competitors and client’s needs.
  • Will support the team in identifying suitable opportunities through the development of strategic relationships with architects, developers, owners and owner project managers (OPMs).
  • Facilitate the Go/No Go analysis/decision through a firm understanding of the opportunity value and strategic fit.
  • Lead the proposal process and determine the correct resources and timing of deliverables to keep the proposal on track.
  • In partnership with Operational Leads, prepare interview team for a successful interview experience.
  • Ensure alignment with Regional Office Business Plans and support where needed in the business planning process.
  • Mentor more junior members of the Business Development and Operations team to ensure success of the team in the future.
  • Participate in industry organizations and Trade Shows towards extending the Consigli brand and growing a network of contacts and potential clients.
  • Actively manage and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to reflect real-time status of opportunities within the sales pursuit life-cycle and actions needed to win work.
  • Maintain memberships in professional organizations and attend industry events.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Business Development experience (prefer 5 years) in the construction industry with a successful track record of building relationships and achieving results.
  • Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations.
  • Outstanding presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Be seen as a partner with the leadership team and operations partners.
