Description
American Traveler is seeking a dual modality CT Tech/X-Ray Tech with stroke and trauma experience for a weekend-only contract at an inpatient acute care facility in Broward County, FL.
Details- Dual modality position requiring the ability to operate as both a CT Technologist and a Radiologic (X-Ray) Technologist
- Inpatient and outpatient setting serving all age groups from neonate to older adult
- Stroke and trauma patient population
- CT scanner is the Siemens GoTop
- Epic EMR — experience required
- Procedures include abdomen/GI/pelvis, chest/thorax, head/neck, upper/lower extremity, spine/pelvis, portables, CTA, CCTA (preferred), brain perfusion, and multiplanar reconstruction (preferred)
- Additional responsibilities include preparation and administration of contrast media and IV starts
- 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and eligible at a local rate
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Rad Tech and 1 year of recent experience as a CT Tech (2 years total across both modalities)
- Stroke and trauma experience required
- Proficiency with isolation precautions required
- Active FL CRT and ARRT (or compact equivalent) required — license required if applicable
- Active BLS certification via AHA or ARC required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Certifications must be current at the time of consideration
- FL license or compact license must be in hand for consideration
- This is a smoke-free facility
- Hurricane sign-up is required as part of this assignment
- Proof of vaccination status is required — declinations are not accepted
- Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are considered for this position at a local rate
