Construction Pipefitter

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Pipefitter to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems, with a focus on piping, equipment setup, and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Expertise in refrigeration piping and fixture setting.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Work with all levels of employees throughout the company.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of commercial installation of refrigeration systems.
- Electrical, plumbing, HVAC knowledge.
- Knowledge of materials, equipment and tools of the trade.
- Have proper brazing technique.
- Able to do overhead line sets.
- Able to do case lineup, pipe and layout drains.
- Able to demo walk-in, install new, hang, pipe, drain evaporator coils.
- Able to work independently.
- Good mechanical skills and use of hand and power tools.
- Safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
- Ability to be flexible; working days, nights, and out of town.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of proven pipefitting experience, ideally in commercial refrigeration.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and technical specifications interpretation.
- Skills in welding, brazing, soldering, and mechanical joining.
- Strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, tools, and materials for commercial refrigeration.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in varied environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- Availability for out-of-town work with night shifts (weekends off).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Education: High School Diploma or GED and or combination equivalent of education.
Physical Work Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee will be required to stand and walk frequently. The employees will travel to jobsites. Employees will be required to use a ladder or equipment to reach heights to assist and inspect completed work.Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
