Travel NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift – 13-week Contract – Madison, WI
Travel NICU RN – Night shift in Madison, WI. 13-week Level IV NICU contract; competitive weekly pay; Wisconsin RN license, BLS, NRP, and Epic experience required. Join a Magnet-designated pediatric medical and surgical center and provide high-acuity neonatal care in a leading Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

- Setting: Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level IV NICU)
- Role: NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse / Travel RN
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (5/18/2026 – 8/17/2026)
- Shifts: 12-hour night shifts – 3 shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am); includes 4–6 weekend shifts per contract
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
- Hours per Week: 36
- Float Requirement: Required to float to all AFCH units, including PICU, for patients less than 12 months of age
- Minimum 2 years total NICU III/IV experience, with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU (within the last 3 years) — neonatal nurse experience required
- Travel nursing experience required (previous Travel RN assignments preferred)
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license (license must be in hand at submission)
- BLS and NRP certifications (AHA required)
- Experience with post-op neonatal patients, G-tubes, tracheostomy/vent management, and multiple modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
- Epic EMR / Epic charting experience required
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Pass/fail telemetry and pediatric cardiac rhythm exams required prior to start
- Provide comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill newborns and infants in a 26-bed Level IV NICU
- Manage infants requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, including invasive/noninvasive ventilators and whole body cooling
- Care for post-surgical neonatal patients and manage central and arterial lines, medications, and blood products
- Deliver family-centered care, education, and support from admission through discharge
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric and neonatal teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work, surgery, and more)
- Float to other pediatric units (including PICU) as needed for patients under 12 months of age
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR and follow hospital policies for neonatal clinical support
