Position Responsibilities:

 •  Lead planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of Development (DT) & Operational Test (OT) events IAW PM-RC, PEO-TIS, SOF AT&L, Local Directive, DoD, and industry policy.
 •  Devise and implement testing strategies for key performance parameters (KPPs), Key Systems Attributes (KSAs), and other attributes defined in the SUMS Capability Development Document (CDD).
 •  Plan, coordinate, and support test range activities, including the maintenance and operation of necessary test equipment. Example equipment includes but is not limited to spectrum analyzers, radios, networking, laser range finders, thermal imagers, precision GPS locators, and microphones. Recommend equipment recapitalization and improvements in test equipment employment.
 •  Develop calibration procedures, testing procedures, and test plans to characterize UAS and UGS performance across multiple measurement modalities, including flight characteristics, imaging performance, weather, infrared, acoustic, visible, and radio frequency.
 •  Develop Test Reports including the processing of data including thermal signature, radio frequency spectrum analysis, location accuracy, and acoustic profiling. Test engineer should be capable of processing raw data into finished plots and conclude if equipment meets or does not meet requirements.
 •  Support the program office personnel with developing and updating Requirement Traceability Matrixes (RTM) and Evaluation Frameworks.
 •  Develop Operational Assessment plans for reoccurring experiment.
 •  Provide input for required acquisition documentation.
 •  Evaluate vendor technology & advise the Government Program Manager.
 •  Support Fielding & Deployment Release (F&DR) process as directed by the Government Program Manager.

Education Requirements:

 •  Bachelor of Science in any of the following fields: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience and Skills:

 •  Experience developing and tailoring system engineering processes based on cost, schedule, and risk tolerance.
 •  Proficient understanding of using engineering tools to document and manage project requirements.
 •  Develop system and subsystem-level requirements and define system and subsystem interface.
 •  Translate requirements across a multi-disciplinary team.
 •  Proven ability to work within tight timelines with high-quality output.
 •  10+ years Department of Defense Experience.
 •  Knowledge of DOD acquisition reform initiatives with emphasis on streamlined acquisition practices.
 •  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.

A proven record in problem-solving, decision making, financial management, logistics management, program analysis responsibilities.
Superior writing and briefing skills.
