PositionOverview
TilconConnecticuthasanopeningfora QualityControlTechnician to work in our Quarries, Asphalt Plants and on our Paving jobs.Thehoursandlocationforthis positionarevariablewithweekend and nightworkrequiredasneeded.As aQualityControlTechnician,theselectedcandidatewillberequiredtoworkin ateam environmentwiththeirco:workers and managers.

Responsibilities
(EssentialDutiesandFunctions)
• Safelyandefficientlyworkin aquality controlcapacityandreportanyproblemsto thesupervisorin atimelyfashion.
• Responsibleforcollecting,measuring,andtestingofmaterialsforconstructionprojects includinghot mixasphalt,soilssampling,aggregatesampling,coresampling,densitytesting,laboratorytestingandmixdesign.
• ProperlyfollowallcompanypoliciesandOSHA/MSHAregulationsforsafeworkingproceduresandenvironment.
• Wearpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)indesignatedoperationsandproductionareasasstatedbyOSHAand / orMSHA.
• Displayaprofessionalandcourteousattitudeto co:workers,supervisors,andthegeneralpublicat alltimes.
• Report toworkatthedesignatedstarttimeand staythroughthe end ofshift.
• Beabletoworkovertimewhenrequired.
• Bewillingtoworkoutdoorsinextremetemperatures,bothhotandcold and occasionally at heights.
• Strictlyadheringtosafety requirementsandprocedures.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Havethewillingnesstoworkinateam environmentandassistco:workers orsupervisors withotherdutiesasrequired.
• Perform otherdutiesasassigned.
Qualifications
Toperformthisjobsuccessfully,anindividualmust beabletoperformeachessentialduty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
• Highschooldiploma / GED equivalent.
• NewEnglandTransportationTechnicianCertificationinHMAfield/plantisdesirable.
• 1yearexperienceinquality controltestingdesiredbutnotrequired.

• KnowledgeofMicrosoftOfficeSuite.
• Detailoriented.
• Basicmathskills.
• Goodverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.
