Position Summary
Essential duties include the locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations. Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC and ASME B31.3.
Responsibilties
• Locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations.
• Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost:effective design.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
• Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.
Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications
• Level 1: Requires a BS degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 1 yearof related experience.
• Level 2: Requires a BS degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• This role requires a facility:specific clearance that requires U.S. Citizenship.
Minimum Qualifications
• Good knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards.
• Prior experience using structural analysis programs.
• Must be able to obtain EIT/FE certification within 12 months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
• EIT certification or PE registration.
• Prior experience using GTStrudl structural analysis program.
• Prior experience using Pipe SupportModeler software.
• Previous Bechtel project experience.
• Previous DOD/DOE project experience.
