Project Manager
Clayton Services is searching for a Project Manager to join a thriving company in Northwest Houston. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery.
Job Type: Direct Hre
Pay Rate: $100,000-$120,000/year

Project Manager Responsibilities:
Lead the development of comprehensive project plans based on projects, including definition/split, resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish clear project objectives, deliverables, and timelines
Provide guidance, direction, and support throughout all project phases
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to enhance team morale and productivity
Optimize resource utilization by grouping similar tasks among various projects
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and contractors
Communicate effectively to ensure alignment on project goals, expectations, and deliverables
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Proactively address issues as they arise to keep projects on track
Manage and participate in on-site activities during installation, start-up, and troubleshooting of equipment onsite on in-house
Coordinate shipping requirements internally and externally
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs against projections and implementing cost-saving measures where appropriate
Ensure financial accountability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, assessing impacts and communicating effectively with stakeholders to minimize disruption and ensure project success, prepare contract change orders if necessary
Prepare comprehensive project reports, status updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Provide regular progress updates and performance metrics to senior management
Solicit quotes for equipment as specified
Bid comparisons based on price, technical fit, and schedule
Attend and support purchasing in vendor selection and final negotiation
Administer and manage contractor and vendor contracts
Write purchase requisitions, expediting, and inspections
Other duties as assigned
Project Manager Skills and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with ERP systems
Knowledge of project management methodologies and other relevant tools for project planning, scheduling, and tracking
Project Manager Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or a related field is required
An advanced degree is a plus
PMP Certification or equivalent is a plus
