This is a professional services firm that provides a variety of services including finance, accounting compliance, etc for clients in investment management, capital markets, real estate, and banking.

Job Description

One will provide financial and accounting services to a broad range of entities which includes a multi-billion-dollar asset manager, broker-dealer, insurance entities, real estate managers and real estate joint ventures, among others. The finance duties revolve around cash management, cash budgeting and forecasting and treasury management. The accounting duties will include weekly reconciliations, monthly journal entries and closing procedures, financial reporting, accounting technical research, audit assistance, assistance in managing critical services vendors and A/P exposure. The accounting duties also include maintaining the general ledger. Responsibilities:

 •  Assist the Corporate Accounting manager in cash management, budgeting and forecasting, and treasury management
 •  General ledger maintenance for multi-billion-dollar AUM asset manager client
 •  Coordination of a variety of entity audits including asset managers and a broker-dealer. Preparation of financial reports
 •  Research technical accounting and disclosure issues
 •  General ledger maintenance for a variety of entities and Skyview's
 •  Critical vendor services management
 •  Perform various ad-hoc research and reporting projects

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

 •  MPA/BBA in Accounting from a top-tier business school, minor in Finance a plus
 •  2+ years' experience in the accounting field or at a Big Four accounting firm
 •  Current CPA license or completion of all four CPA exams with the next 6 months
 •  Working knowledge of general finance and accounting functions
 •  Advanced MS Office skills with emphasis on Excel
 •  Prior Oracle and QuickBooks experience is a plus but not required
 •  Excellent communication and organizational skills
 •  Detail and task-oriented
 •  Strong work ethic and a team player

What's on Offer

Base salary will depend on overall experience but will range from $85,000 - $105,000. This role may also include an additional compensation bonus. Excellent benefits. Great team culture.
