JOB SUMMARY: The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for independently providing assessments, treatment/care planning and psychosocial therapy within a primary care clinic setting for a diverse population of preventative, acute care, and chronic disease management patients to effectively provide linkage and advocacy to fulfill clients’ needs.
Estimated volume may be around 2,850.
Per the client, would like a candidate who has actually been seeing patients or teaching (not in a leadership position), some clinical experience with all ages (or at least the ability and willingness to work with all ages, experience with an integrated model (partnering with referring Physicians).

1. 2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting - Required
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Counseling, or related field; or a Doctorate degree in clinical psychology. - Required
Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP, LIMHP), or Licensed Psychologist. - Required
Effective communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Experience with electronic medical records
Provides patient care for all ages

The original hospital was built in 1952, and in 1972 the Community Memorial Hospital District was formed. It is governed by five elected board members serving four year terms. The hospital is a district hospital per the Nebraska Local Hospital District Act.
Health Center is a 10-bed Critical Access Hospital and a designated Level IV Trauma Center. SAH is also home to the Clinic, a family practice clinic that has been operating since 1998. In 2008, SAH expanded its area of service to Weeping Water, and a new upgraded clinic and new retail pharmacy just north of Weeping Water opened in December 2022.
Syracuse Area Health is also home to Strasburger Orthopaedics, with clinics located in Lincoln, Syracuse, and Nebraska City.
