Contract Specialist
ONLY SUBMIT CANDIDATES LOCAL AND RESIDING NEAR WORK LOCATION (ROSEVILLE). ASSIGNMENT IS REMOTE BUT POSITION WILL REQUIRE TRAVEL TO ROCKLIN OFFICE WHILE BEING TRAINED. THE CLIENT LAPTOP AND DOCKING STATION WILL BE ISSUED.

Job Description:
" Under limited supervision, prepares CWA s, SAA and Change Orders and other contracts.
" Ensure timely contract approvals according to relevant delegation of authority or governance
" Reviews the validity of change order requests, negotiates co-terms and amounts and prepares contract change orders from field change order summaries
" Handles contractor relationships to continually improve quality, service and cost
" Maintains legal requirements for contracts, makes updates as required, and works with Law on contract review
" Supports senior contract specialists with research and analysis
" Supports the identification and mitigation of contract risk and issues
" Prepares and delivers contract status reporting
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
Three years of work experience in contract and/or project management or other legal / regulatory field
Desired Qualifications:
" Significant training in, contracts, purchasing, organizational management, or process/project management.
" Knowledge and experience in drafting contractual terms and language
" Knowledge and experience in contract negotiations
" Understanding of the client contractor safety requirements
" Comfortable and effective verbal, written, and multi-channel communications to meet the needs of various audiences
" Experience and capability with Ariba, SAP (invoicing/billing functions), database management
" Competency using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
" Detail oriented, to ensure high quality, timely, accurate work products and to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
