Virtus Healthcare Staffing Seeks Physical Therapist for Skilled Nursing Facility in York, PA
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a skilled nursing facility in York, PA to find a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT). This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled PT to make a positive impact on the lives of patients by helping them regain their functional mobility and improve their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients to assess their functional abilities, impairments, and goals.
Develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's specific needs, focusing on restoring mobility, strength, coordination, and balance.
Utilize a variety of physical therapy techniques, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and assistive devices.
Educate patients and their families on their conditions and treatment plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, physicians, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Document progress in patients' medical records and participate in care conferences.
Maintain a safe and patient-centered treatment environment.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on current physical therapy practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
Valid Physical Therapist License in the state of Pennsylvania.
Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility setting (preferred).
Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to document effectively in medical records.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience treating patients with a variety of neurological and/or orthopedic conditions.
Proficient in therapeutic exercise techniques and modalities.
Experience with gait training and assistive devices.
Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
