Job Title: Assistant Controller
We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join a rapidly growing company here on the SF Bay Area peninsula - they are expected to potentially double in revenue in 2024! This is a great time to join their wonderful collaborative team. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in supporting the financial management of the organization.
THIS IS A 100% ONSITE ROLE.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
• Assist in preparing financial statements (GAAP/IFRS).
• Report to shareholders.
General Ledger Management:
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Monitor transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Month/Year-End Close:
• Support closing processes.
• Review financial reports and adjust entries.
Financial Analysis:
• Integrate Budget and Forecast.
• collaborate with the Finance Department
Internal Controls:
• Maintain internal controls.
• Participate in audits.
Tax Compliance:
• Collaborate on tax filings.
• Respond to inquiries and audits.
Fixed Assets Ledger:
• Create and maintain fixed assets ledger.
Treasury:
• Assist with treasury activities.
Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Support ERP system implementation.
Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Business Administration:
• Manage business licenses.
Requirements
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance - MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE IS A MUST (CPG a plus)
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, CPA preferred
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, Sage X3 a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills - will be working closely with other departments
• Attention to detail and good mindset
