International Logistics Specialist

  1.  Manage Air & Ocean Shipments Operations
 •  Coordinate and supervise the operations of air and ocean shipments between the US and South Korea, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
 •  Maintain regular communication with international and local carriers, as well as freight forwarders, to facilitate smooth transpacific shipments.
 •  Monitor shipment execution, providing tracking updates and status reports to internal teams and Korean management.
  2.  Oversee Scheduling, Shipping, and Receiving
 •  Manage the scheduling of international shipments to and from South Korea, optimizing for efficiency and supply chain demands.
 •  Ensure all shipping and receiving operations comply with both US and South Korean regulations and company policies.
 •  Work closely with warehouse and inventory management teams to align operations with international shipment schedules.
  3.  Reduce Shipping Costs
 •  Strategically negotiate contracts and rates with vendors to minimize shipping costs, focusing on transpacific routes between the US and South Korea.
 •  Implement cost-saving measures and strategic planning techniques to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce overhead.
 •  Conduct performance metrics analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and operational enhancements in international trade operations.
  4.  Liaise with Korean Management
 •  Communicate effectively with Korean management to align logistics strategies with broader company goals.
 •  Prepare and present reports and findings in Korean to facilitate clear and comprehensive management reviews.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
Experience with logistics software and database systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Proven experience in logistics management, specifically in international trade between the US and South Korea.
Fluent in Korean; proficiency is required to effectively communicate with vendors and carriers in South Korea and company management.
Strong understanding of global trade compliance and shipping regulations applicable in both the US and South Korea.
Excellent negotiation skills and strategic planning capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
