Software Validation Engineer

Responsibilities
• Serve as a member of Software Test Team with responsibility for software testing of products developed by RD.
• Participate in the development of software testing of medical devices and host applications.
• Develop test cases and protocols from requirements/design documentation and execute the protocols against established baselines.
• Set up test environments. Install software and set up networks and other hardware simulators etc.
• Perform ad hoc testing of Welch Allyn medical devices and applications.
• Participate in cross functional review of product software design and requirements for correctness completeness and testability.
• Communicate/Document anomalies/issues.
• Understand and follow established quality processes and procedures.
Qualifications
• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering Computer Programming or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• The successful candidate will be one who enjoys working in a cross-functional project-oriented team environment working together to develop medical devices and applications that sustain patients and save lives.
• You will have strong troubleshooting skills an inquisitive nature and the discipline to codify test methods into protocols.
• Strong written and verbal skills required as you will work collaboratively with team members located in Skaneateles and remotely.
• Work experience in a regulated industry is preferred. It is expected you will work in our Skaneateles facility five days a week.
