We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team and lead our operational efforts in Connecticut.
Job Description
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing operations, improve productivity, and achieve cost efficiencies.
2. Production Management: Oversee the day-to-day production activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management, to meet production targets and deadlines.
3. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Drive initiatives to enhance product quality and minimize defects.
4. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, procurement processes, and supply chain activities to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
5. Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and enhance operational efficiency. Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to optimize performance.
6. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Mentor and develop staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
7. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics and progress to senior management.
