Senior Site Reliability Engineer

As a Senior Site Reliability engineer, you will work to ensure the reliability of production systems for a SaaS based application supporting a rapidly scaling customer base. You will use your skills to analyze and improve all parts of the application stack and associated infrastructure to support a growing customer base.
You will also work cross functionally to support the code delivery pipeline to ensure an optimal developer experience.

Responsibilities
 •  Ensure the availability and reliability of production systems through cross functional collaboration with other teams.
 •  Develop tooling for ongoing measurement and optimization of system performance to support an expanding customer base.
 •  Work on proactively monitoring the health of our systems to identify issues before they come up.
 •  Actively work with engineering to analyze and resolve any production issues that come up.
 •  Manage and enhance infrastructure provisioning through Infrastructure as code solutions.
 •  Support maintenance of CI/CD pipeline for efficient code deployment.
 •  Additional tasks and projects related to software systems optimization as assigned by the Software Engineering Manager

Education & Work Experience
 •  Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
 •  Five or more years of experience as a Site Reliability or a Platform Engineer working with distributed systems with a microservices architecture.
 •  Deep understanding of Docker containers and familiarity with container orchestration such as Kubernetes.
 •  Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform or Ansible
 •  Familiarity with cloud infrastructure components such as AWS Fargate, ECS, Lambdas, etc.
 •  Experience working with relational database systems such as RDS SQL server or Aurora Postgres.
 •  Experience with monitoring production systems using observability platforms such as Splunk or Datadog.
 •  Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript.
 •  Experience with automating code pipelines using Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
