Responsibilities

The College of Arts and Sciences at North Park University seeks applications for a one-year visiting professor position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry to begin in August 2024. The successful candidate will teach full load in chemistry courses during the 2024-2025 academic year.
Teaching responsibilities will include lecture and laboratory courses with emphasis on organic chemistry and biochemistry courses, as well as other courses as dictated by departmental need.

Requirements

Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field

A clear understanding of North Park University’s mission of Christian higher education.

Preferred

Knowledge of organic chemistry and biochemistry laboratory techniques

Teaching experience

Research experience in biochemistry or a related field.

Experience teaching university-level organic chemistry and biochemistry courses.

Ability to work independently and with others.

Comfort with using modern technology.
