Job Description:

McClellan Outpatient Clinic, a satellite facility of Travis Air Force Base's David Grant Medical Center, is seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join their healthcare team. Located in Sacramento, CA, this clinic provides comprehensive medical services to military personnel, and their families.
As a Physician Assistant at this facility, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our nations service members.

Responsibilities:

 •  Provide primary and specialty healthcare services to patients in an outpatient setting under the supervision of licensed physicians.
 •  Perform comprehensive physical examinations, medical histories, and assessments to diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
 •  Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and referring patients to specialists as needed.
 •  Conduct minor surgical procedures and perform therapeutic interventions, such as injections and wound care.
 •  Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated care for patients.
 •  Educate patients and their families on preventive measures, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote optimal health and well-being.
 •  Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documentation, and reports in accordance with clinic protocols and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

 •  Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
 •  Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
 •  Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in any state
 •  Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a primary care or military healthcare setting.
 •  Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills, with proficiency in managing a diverse range of acute and chronic conditions.
 •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
 •  Knowledge of military healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
 •  Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications may be required.
