Manager - VIBE supports marketing, music and culture initiatives and supervises creative projects from concept to completion, while maintaining integrity of brand voice and translating marketing objectives into creative strategies to drive revenue and build brand awareness.
This person builds business/market share by utilizing brand music programs to leverage as Hard Rock's differentiator in the hospitality space.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 •  Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Rockford their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
 •  Organizes and manages local events to showcase the property and brand while demonstrating music industry connection.
 •  Serves as brand ambassador to establish and nurture relationships with celebrities, talents (bands, DJ’s, etc.) and the local community. Translate strategy into specific business actions and individual accountabilities that achieve results.
 •  Ensures effective utilization of music, video, and lighting across the property, including monitoring and adjusting music and TV volume levels and content to create appropriate Vibe.
 •  Monitor, adjust and create music playlists, adapted to location, time of day and Vibe.
 •  Collaborates with internal and external business partners to initiate agreements with entertainment artists for local support and performances.
 •  Conduct Memorabilia tours and develop associated collateral.
 •  Coordinates on-going research of the industry and comp set to detect market trends and related information for development of new marketing strategies.
 •  Writes marketing copy in brand voice for print, outdoor, collateral, direct mail and website as needed.
 •  At the direction of the Director- Entertainment, oversees the brand programs and events, execution & reporting.
 •  Capture submissions for global use/addition to Hard Rock TV.
 •  Communicate with relevant leadership team regarding issues, risk and liability concerns, or other important business matters.
 •  Works with Social Media Manager to oversee entertainment social media programs, promotions and communications to ensure consistency with brand voice on social outlets including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
 •  Monitor Quality Assurance Program results, create and execute action plans where needed.
 •  Works with Marketing team to handle all responses (negative and positive) on community review portals including TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc.
 •  Serve as subject matter expert for the property on Vibe related initiatives.
 •  Promote the organization in and out of industry and at relevant trade associations.
 •  Evaluate and adjust overall guest experiences based on interaction with guests, industry trends, corporate initiatives, etc.
 •  Enhance group business experience through customization.
 •  Maintain presence in property during peak business periods.
 •  Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to all Illinois Gaming Regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 •  Attend seminars when needed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
 •  Bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred
 •  Three (3) years in the entertainment industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 •  Gaming or hospitality experience highly preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

 •  Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Board Regulations.
 •  Must successfully pass background check.
 •  Must successfully pass drug screening.
 •  Prior experience opening new properties/outlets preferred.
 •  Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
 •  Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

Additional Details:

KNOWLEDGE OF:

 •  Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
 •  Minimum of 3 (three) years of work experience in hospitality industry with proven track record of success.
 •  Ability to read and understand all Hard Rock Casino Rockford policies and procedures.
 •  Previous work experience in the music and/or entertainment industry required.
 •  Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

ABILITY TO:

 •  Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
 •  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
 •  Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
 •  Multiple language abilities preferred, fluency in English required.
 •  Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
