Our programs provide a complement of services for most ages and needs. This continuum is designed to meet the complex needs of each individual and creates a continuum of services that are able to meet the needs of children, adults, and families through a continuum of services utilizing an integrated care model.

Title: Support Specialist
Salary: Starting at $19 / hour depending upon education, and experience.

Responsibilities:

 •  Provide mental health services to adults who have a chronic mental illness in a respite setting.
 •  Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to
 •  any age-related needs of the consumers served.
 •  Provide direct supervision of the consumers residing in the residential setting.
 •  Provide crisis intervention as needed.
 •  Collaborate with community resources to link consumers to appropriate mental health and substance abuse providers.
 •  Will provide social skills groups related to the consumer’s individual needs.
 •  Transport consumers in agency vehicles.
 •  Understand medication procedures to observe the administration of medications.
 •  Must understand the use of Electronic Health Records for chart documentation.
 •  Be aware of all safety procedures along with a review of the MSDS manuals.
 •  Utilize SCM, CPR, and First Aid techniques as needed. Must attend monthly staff meetings.
 •  Expected to report to work in inclement weather and/or State of Emergency.

Qualifications:

 •  BA/BS degree in a mental health discipline or health/human services field and 1 year full-time experience working with consumers; a AA/AS degree with 2 years experience working with consumers; or a high school diploma with 4 years’ full-time experience working with consumers.
 •  Ideal candidates must identify as having lived experience with mental illness or substance use and be in recovery.
 •  Employee must possess a valid driver’s license and if duties require driving, be able to drive an agency-owned vehicle.
 •  Must be able to work under required deadline schedules, while being flexible to special requests and projects.
 •  Must be able to professionally handle stressful situations.

Crisis Diversion Homes

The program provides adults who have recently experienced a crisis working closely with the 988-crisis continuum. The program provides psychiatric stabilization and case management services in a residential setting to divert hospital admissions and emergency department visits.
The targeted length of stay is less than 30 days.
