Field Service Technician for an OEM of grinding and dispersion equipment division. Provide installation, start-up, troubleshooting, training, and maintenance support for the equipment we manufacture. This position will focus on one industry with a customer(s) in Phoenix, AZ.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Perform commissioning, start-ups, and training for new equipment at the customer's facility. This includes installation check, functional testing, operational check, and then machine maintenance and operation training.

Work primarily with the newest technologies in battery production equipment

Perform timely and accurate service in customer's plants, such as installation, commissioning and repair of fine grinding machines.

Troubleshoot and consult with our customers in the battery industry, mostly at their highly-automated production plants, for producing battery components for electric vehicles (EV)

Train customer's maintenance and operating personnel in the proper operating and maintenance procedures

Communicate with customers and inside technical specialists Document project progress and provide status updates as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience Experience or equivalent training in a field of technology such as a mechanical, electrical, or similar field, or degree in engineering, related technical degree.

A minimum of 2 years' experience in machine maintenance required.

Previous field service experience preferred.

Language and Communication Skills:

Fluent in English

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write procedures, technical bulletins, flow charts and forms for proper documentation.

Ability to complete documentation on the status of tasks.

Ability to relay data, conclusions and facts to all pertinent parties in a clear concise way.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to a practical situation.

Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics and flow charts and be familiar with the metric system

Ability to use hand tools.

Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude.

PLC and VFD knowledge or ability to acquire this knowledge.

Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Other Qualifications:

Must be able to go on-site to client in Phoenix, AZ area. Possible travel to the following states PA, OH & TN.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Must have or be able to acquire a passport
