We are seeking an electrical engineering intern to join the Energy & Commissioning team at LaBella. The role will comprise the analysis and design of commercial and community-scale photovoltaic systems to be installed on rooftops or ground-mounted.
The engineer will work as part of the electrical renewable energy team as well as coordination with other engineering disciplines. The engineer will be trained in the use of field-specific software applicable to PV array design and electrical interconnections.
Duties
Production of design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit toolsets
Generate models of solar arrays using solar-modeling software programs
Assist with electrical calculations for low and medium-voltage electrical systems
Perform site visits with senior staff
Work as part of a team to meet challenging deadlines
Salary Range: $17 - $20 per hour
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, energy engineering or related program
Knowledge of solar PV generation
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
Experience in the construction industry a plus
