An incredibly well-backed Development firm who are in their second year of operation are looking to appoint a Chief Development Officer.
With a highly experienced team of professionals that has worked at some of the most notable IPPs + Development firms in the industry, it is an excellent time to join ahead of their substantial growth plans.
Job Description
The Chief Development Officer will:
• Effectively lead the existing Development team on Utility-scale projects
• Acquire real estate rights for development opportunities
• Maintain relationships with landowners and other local stakeholders
• Liaise with other leaders in the business to developer and implement their strategy to market
• Direct resource management processes and output estimates
• Manage external stakeholders supporting environmental assessment campaigns
• Manage external stakeholders supporting property and sales tax abatement efforts
• Manage occasional permitting activities with support from other team members
• Prepare project budgets, schedules, and RFP responses

The Successful Applicant
The Chief Development Officer will have:
• 12+ years experience within the renewable industry
• Exposure to utility-scale solar or storage projects
• Experience of identifying and working on greenfield projects
• Has previously been the lead on projects from inception through to project sale
• Experience in mentoring and managing Developers
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field is desirable
*This role can be 100% remote*Please still apply if you have smaller scale projects to date but would like to work on utility scale projects!
What's on Offer
The Chief Development Officer will receive:
• $230,000 - $260,000 base salary
• Equity stake within the firm
• Comprehensive benefits package whereby the employer covers 100% of your healthcare, unlimited PTO and 401k match.
