We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineering Technical Support Specialist to join our team for our location in Seymour, IN.
**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:**
+ Disassembles and rebuilds production and experimental engines and components; measures and records measurements.
+ Configures and operates data acquisition systems; analyzes and reviews data for appropriateness.
+ Installs engines and components in test cells or test rigs.
+ Fabricates necessary piping, tubing, and brackets from prints and drawings.
+ Diagnoses engine and test cell problems.
+ Executes written work requests and reports on results in a specified format.
+ Supports technicians and engineers as required.
+ Understands and applies appropriate Company and department rules and guidelines to work.
+ Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions.
+ Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures.
+ Participates in improvement projects.
+ Maintains cleanliness within the workplace.
+ Knows and complies with departmental safety policies and procedures.
+ Demonstrates confidentiality as required.
+ Participates in self- and team-audits and associated corrective action.
+ Performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.
**To be successful in this role you will need the following:**
+ High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
+ This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
+ Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.
+ Mechanical background/aptitude strongly preferred.
+ Required to pass a hands-on Mechanical Test.
+ Possession of personal hand tools is highly recommended.
+ Ability to work 2nd Shift: M - F, 3 PM – 11:30 PM
+ Pay starting at $31.50/HR or higher, based on experience level $1.50/HR Shift Differential for 2nd.
**Compensation and Benefits**
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
