POSITION SUMMARY:

The PM Production Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for workflow and
automated systems while working to expand and optimize the role of fulfillment
technicians in regard to the pharmacy packaging and logistics process. The PM PS actively
communicates and improves the drug distribution process to ensure safe and effective
delivery of medications. The PM PS also maintains consistent communication with
management and other departments. The PM PS is a resource for informational inquiries
regarding, but not limited to, the pharmacy automation and workflow. This shift Monday
through Friday from 2:30pm to 11pm.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

The PM Production Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager. This position
works in a shared services environment, which includes customer service, order entry, and
pharmacists. This position works with team members and management in Pharmacy
Operations. The PM Production Supervisor’s direct reports include the assigned PM
Fulfillment Technicians IIs, PM Fulfillment Technicians and overnight Fulfillment
Technicians.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 •  Provides leadership and oversight for workflow and automated systems while working

to expand and optimize the role of fulfillment technicians in regard to the pharmacy

packaging and logistics process
 •  Completes evaluations and goal setting with direct reports
 •  Ensures completion of necessary process training and competencies with direct reports
 •  Ensures medication preparation is coordinated, controlled within designated areas

and documented in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations, and

pharmacy policies.
 •  Participates as a fulfillment technician and is accountable for own work

responsibilities.
 •  Performs medication packaging, toting and other duties when staffing requires.
 •  Ensures timely completion of maintenance logs and policy documentation.
 •  Completes competency requirements in a timely manner.
 •  Assigns pharmacy technicians to appropriate filling locations
 •  Answers phone calls from customers regarding production questions
 •  Medication Order fulfillment (i.e., various packaging, dispensing machine, labeling,

shipping, etc.).
 •  Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging

medication for dispensing.
 •  Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include

staging the medication for Pharmacist final review and/or packaging of medication

after Pharmacist final review.
 •  Coordinating and staging items for delivery for an accurate and timely delivery to

the customer.
 •  Receives and stores incoming supplies, verifies quantities against invoices, checks

for outdated medications in current inventory and informs supervisor of stock

needs and shortages.
 •  Mix pharmaceutical preparations, according to written prescriptions.
 •  Assists with special projects as needed.
 •  Supports location, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
 •  Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
 •  Responsible for uncompromising levels of cleanliness and safety.
 •  Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach.
 •  Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job

responsibilities.
 •  Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards

 •  Maintains consistent communication with Operations Manager regarding area

specific initiatives and activities.

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 •  High school diploma or equivalent is required.
 •  Minimum 1 year of experience in pharmacy is preferred.
 •  Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
 •  Demonstrated leadership experience is required.
 •  Knowledge of pharmacy automation and computers is preferred.
 •  Proficiency in desktop productivity tools, emphasis on Microsoft Office, including
SharePoint.
 •  Exhibits professional demeanor and ability to guide fulfillment technicians through
workflow.
 •  Exhibits patience and perseverance when working with computer and automation

users.
 •  Exhibits strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
 •  Exhibits excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong user support

orientation.
 •  Exhibits strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal

supervision.
