Senior Engineering Technician – Technology Development

Overview:
Position Summary:
Nusano has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineering Technician at our Salt Lake City Utah facility. This Technician will work with the Technology Development team to support the assembly, integration, and operation of plasma processing equipment.
To execute this project, we are looking to add talented people to the team who are mission-driven, provide diverse perspectives, and who have demonstrated exceptional results through a range of different pursuits. This team member will be primarily responsible for close collaboration within the Targetry team to support engineering from proto to production.
Responsibilities:
What You'll Do:
• Support equipment assembly, integration and testing.
• Support equipment installation, operation and maintenance.
• Make recommendations for design and process modifications.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop test and operating procedures.
• Coordinate lab activities, equipment use, maintenance and calibration.
• Perform general laboratory housekeeping and consumables inventory management.
• Maintain and organize laboratory equipment, tools, and instruments.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3+ years of related professional work experience.
• Experience with the installation, assembly, and operation of ion and/or plasma processing equipment.
• Demonstrated understanding of plasma processes, electronics, instrumentation and laboratory practices.
• 5+ years of technical experience with the installation and commissioning of precision scientific, mechanical, and vacuum systems.
• Ability to interact and communicate efficiently with researchers, engineers, designers, machinists, and engineering technicians to provide a high level of customer service.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and rapid learning.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be comfortable working within radiation environments and/or GMP.
• Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Work to be conducted in an office environment, laboratories, and/or production environment.
• Ability to stoop/bend, squat/crouch, kneel, climb, work at/above shoulder height with both hands, use both hands/arms for strong grasp and either hand to turn or twist.
• Ability to work sitting and standing for extended periods, grasping/gripping, fine motor control with hands.
• Frequent use of a computer with repetitive use of keyboard and mouse.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of time domestically and internationally for on-site installation, operation and maintenance of equipment.
