A day in the life
• Specialist Solution Architects will engage as expert practitioners with a select set of customers to ensure first-hand knowledge of customer use cases and challenges.
• Demonstrates thought leadership and is able to credibly represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.
• Specialist Solution Architects serve as a focal point for representing voice and needs of the customer, working with internal customer facing teams and product/service teams to influence the product roadmap.
• Responsibility for leading initiatives to scale innovation and modernization for SAP on AWS, through expertise and guidance, creating new technical and go to market content.
• Specialist Solution Architects have responsibility to maintain expertise across their entire domain, and to consider/explore adjacent areas (e.g. other domains, industry verticals) to anticipate future use cases and opportunities.

Chicago, IL, USA | New York, NY, USA | Seattle, WA, USA | Washington Dc, DC, USA- 7+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 5+ years management of technical, customer facing resources
• 5+ years experience in SAP data integration and interfaces across a range of technologies (examples: SAP PO/PI, iDoc, ODAta, SLT, RFC, BAPI, BPT)- Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
• History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Familiarity with common enterprise services
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
• Strong written communication skills
• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
• Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired
• Experience with integration of middleware products with SAP (examples: Boomi, Qlik, Mulesoft, Tibco)

The base pay for this position ranges from $122,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market.
