Role: Electrical Design EngineerClient: DOD-AerospaceLocation: Minneapolis, MNDuration: 6-month contract w/ possible extensionHourly Rate: $50-58/hr (W2, non-benefited)You must be a US Citizen to apply. Position Description:-Performs design and drafting of both electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipment-Designs wiring harnesses and performs layout drawing and checking of schematic diagrams-Makes wiring diagrams from schematic diagrams and vice versa-Performs overall line replaceable unit (LRU) chassis and housing design/drafting, including overall system packaging-Selects LRU/wiring harness components such as electrical connectors, accessories, wire, shielding, shield terminators, terminal lugs, etc.-Produces schematic diagrams and/or CAD drawings for submission to customers, plant operations, or outside vendors to produce specified LRUs/wiring harnesses and cable assemblies-Output must be able to be entered directly into data management configuration control Required Skills:-Proficient in working with electrical/electronic systems of military ground vehicles-Manages the entire design process, from concept development to validation of simple sub-systems-Utilizes advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop comprehensive product specifications and integration procedures-Demonstrates expert proficiency in CAD drafting/modeling and design techniques-Skilled in designing and routing wiring harnesses/cable assemblies, and producing detailed wiring harness/cable assembly drawings-Experienced in drawing generation using Creo Pro-Cable, with a minimum of 2 years of experience-Familiarity with MIL-STD-100, ANSI Y14.5/14.41, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)-Knowledgeable in wire routing utilizing Logical Data from Mentor Graphics-Possesses a working understanding of military electrical connector and cabling specifications-Able to create wiring harness schematics with Visio Technical-Thrives in the Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, showcasing highly cooperative teamwork and excellent oral and written communication skills Required Experience & Education:Associate Degree in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; plus a minimum of 9 years' experience If interested in learning more about this position, please email your resume to KDunkin@geologics.com and I will call back with more information.
