Payroll and Benefits Coordinator
We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Education space in Charlotte, NC. The role involves functioning as a Payroll Coordinator, where you will be primarily responsible for processing payroll for our employees, auditing extra pays, and acting as a point of contact for employee benefits enrollment.
This role also involves some payroll tax duties and is heavily data entry driven.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary processor for payrolls, handling various cycles efficiently
• Conduct audits for extra pays and ensure accuracy in the payroll process
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits, assisting with enrollment as needed
• Perform manual payroll processes and handle some aspects of payroll tax
• Maintain accurate records of all payroll-related data and transactions
• Utilize ADP for payroll processing and other in-house systems effectively
• Perform data entry tasks as required for the role, maintaining accuracy and efficiency at all times
• Resolve any payroll-related inquiries and issues that arise, ensuring employee satisfaction and compliance with regulations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Payroll Clerk or similar role within the education industry
• Proficient in payroll software, specifically In-House Payroll and ADP - Payroll
• Demonstrable experience in benefits administration
• Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Exceptional numerical skills and ability to handle large volumes of data
• Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized, with excellent multitasking and prioritizing abilities
• Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll information.
