Seed Warehouse Specialist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Mills and treats seed,
• Receives and distributes seed,
• Maintains inventory of seed warehouse using designated software or systems,
• Operates, maintains, and repairs equipment used in the performance of seed warehouse duties, including welding
• Performs general housekeeping of warehouse and grounds
• Identifies and stakes fields for harvest
• Identifies insects in fields
• Performs field “stand counts”
• Pulls samples from fields
• Operates a variety of vehicles at the warehouse and in the field
• Establishes positive relationships with grower community and customers
• Creates detailed reports as necessary
• Assists with ensuring that growing and harvest methods comply with the Company’s Food Safety and Sustainable Agriculture programs; ensures that seed product is safe and meets customer and Company requirements.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in field of Agriculture; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training
Licensure
Must possess OR Applicator License. Must be Forklift certified. Must have or have the ability to obtain Commercial Chemical Consultant License.. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable. May be required to obtain a Drone license as necessary.
