Mechanical Inspector

Our client is looking for an outgoing individual who will conduct mechanical and visual inspections of parts, subassemblies and completed products.
Role and Responsibilities
Ensures products meet the organization's and customers' quality and product integrity requirements.
Perform dimensional inspection on product using calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection on product per procedures.
Perform first piece inspection and in-process inspections.
Communicate with production supervisor / team leaders / operators about problems found during inspections.
Documents inspection results in electronic media and maintains meticulous detailed records pertinent to inspection results.
Writes non-conforming material reports for defective products.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Background concerning the usage and care of precision measuring tools and equipment.
Ability to effectively read and understand blueprints, engineering documents, inspection manuals and procedures.
Must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections.
Demonstrates an understanding of related aerospace ISO and AS9100 requirements.
Must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail at all times and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Knowledge of dimensional, visual and mechanical inspection processes.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
CMM experience is a plus
