Civil Engineer Renewable Energy Project Manager

We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineer with a passion for renewable energy to lead clients, projects, and portfolios as a Project Manager. The Project Manager will work closely with our core renewables team and will manage project responsibilities of multi-discipline teams and projects throughout the northeast.
Qualified candidates will excel at contributing to all phases of Renewable Energy and other Civil Engineering projects including the development of schematic drawings, working within teams in a collaborative manner, producing effective and high-quality drawings to be issued for construction, steering projects through the municipal or state approval process, and supporting projects throughout construction as they progress to commissioning.
The ability to communicate effectively using verbal, graphic, and written means is paramount and a necessity for this position.
In addition, the Project Manager will assist with proposal writing and business development, and manage mid-level and entry-level staff.
Duties
Responsible for planning, scheduling, developing, coordinating, directing, and managing a variety of renewable energy projects and portfolios.
Preparing various types of related reports and studies and securing local approvals and permits for projects.
Contribute to marketing of the firm and development of new business by initiating relationships with new clients, maintaining relationships with current clients, and key individuals of other organizations and companies.
Developing and evaluating plans and criteria for renewable energy projects as well as planning and coordinating activities to be carried out by others including in-house engineers, designers, and surveyors and outside specialty consultants.
Develop an understanding of local/state jurisdictional requirements for utility-scale, distributed generation and behind-the-meter renewable energy applications.
Requirements
Minimum requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering
8+ years of civil engineering experience, including experience managing renewable energy projects.
Must be an effective presenter at Public Meetings.
Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
Ideal candidate has the traits of a team player who is enthusiastic about all aspects of engineering and project management and can lead projects from planning and preliminary engineering through design and construction.
Must have good communication skills, be a team player and be able to relate well to project team and clients.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
