Arizona College of Nursing is currently seeking a Facilities Specialist to join our Business Development Team! This position will be located at our Corporate/Administrative Office here in Phoenix, Arizona!

HYBRID schedule - 3 days in office / 2 days remote!

What You'll Do::

The Facilities Specialist contributes significantly to the overall operations of the Facilities and Construction team by managing, monitoring, and maintaining the building infrastructure and equipment at our Arizona College of Nursing ( “College”) campuses located throughout the US.
This includes facility expansion, facilities, equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.

Essential responsibilities:

 •  Work closely with project directors, in person and in virtual meetings, to oversee and manage vendors, such as for furniture, security, and low voltage wiring during build-outs or expansions.
 •  Assist in the supervision of third-party maintenance contractors responsible for completing work orders across our campus locations (currently 20 campus locations). Ensure prompt and high-quality service delivery.
 •  Collaborate with various teams, in person whenever possible, including IT, facilities, marketing, and regulatory affairs, to coordinate schedules and work sequences to meet predetermined project milestones.
 •  Select vendors (within scope of responsibility), review and approve payments, and manage direct contracted vendors: R&M tradesmen, work with local property managers, building engineers, security access suppliers, furniture suppliers, and others.
 •  Provide initial construction and R&M budget estimates and schedules. Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines.
 •  Provide input to the company’s OpEx and CapEx budget development process.
 •  Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes and to specification of internal regulatory partners.
 •  Build systems and ensure appropriate use of safety equipment for optimal operation and performance

What We Need From You::

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must have:

 •  Three or more years' experience in facilities management and maintenance.
 •  Experience working with Landlords, building management organizations and external contractors.
 •  Experience developing specifications for contracted facilities work and associated vendor management.
 •  Ability to work with others, a self-starter with results-driven focus.

Nice to have:

 •  Proficiency in budgeting and cost tracking.
