We are a healthcare organization located in Scottsdale, AZ, seeking a Contract-to-Hire Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong medical billing knowledge and proficiency in MS Office.
Responsibilities:
• Review and process medical billing claims accurately and efficiently
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
• Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid or denied claims
• Review and resolve billing errors and discrepancies
• Communicate with patients regarding their billing inquiries and payment options
• Maintain patient records and billing information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Assist with month-end billing reconciliations and reporting
• Collaborate with medical staff and insurance companies to resolve billing issues
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding requirements
• Provide support for other administrative tasks as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Medical Billing or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing or healthcare administration
