Robert Half is looking for a Credit Clerk position in near Middlesex, New Jersey, working with a client in the manufacturing and retail industry, the Credit Clerk will be responsible for processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and monitoring customer credit accounts.
The role also involves resolving customer credit inquiries and managing delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

 •  Accurately processing customer credit applications in a timely manner
 •  Maintaining and updating customer credit records to ensure accuracy
 •  Tracking payments and following up on outstanding payments via email
 •  Preparing and distributing customer payment statements
 •  Matching bills of lading to freight bills and purchase orders to vendor bills
 •  Maintaining and organizing credit files for easy access and reference
 •  Utilizing Microsoft Excel and other ERP software for data management and reporting
 •  Handling incoming payments and managing invoice payment processes
 •  Directing phone calls related to credit and payment inquiries
 •  Implementing measures to collect payments from delinquent accounts
 •  Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Credit Clerk or similar role
 •  Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
 •  Must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel
 •  Experience in handling Direct Phone Calls is necessary
 •  Must have a proven track record in Collecting Payments
 •  Familiarity with handling Incoming Payments is essential
 •  Experience with Invoice Payment processing is required
 •  Knowledge of Bills of Lading is necessary
 •  Experience with Purchase Orders is required
 •  Ability to manage and maintain Credit Files is essential
