Talent Vision, a Staffing and Consulting Firm, is partnering with a charter school in Trenton, NJ, to fill the position of Math Teacher. As a Math Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and engaging students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Your passion for these subjects and your ability to create real-world connections will help students develop critical thinking skills and prepare them for future success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive and engaging lesson plans that align with the school's math curriculum and standards.
• Deliver instruction in high school math subjects, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources, including technology, to enhance student understanding and engagement.
• Provide individualized support and guidance to students, both inside and outside of the classroom, to promote their academic success.
• Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments, and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional practices and strategies.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with research-based best practices in math education.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
• Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for high school is required.
• Prior teaching experience, specifically in high school math instruction, is strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of high school math curriculum, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
• Passion for teaching mathematics and the ability to inspire students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction.
