CTI is currently seeking a Java Software Engineer to join our team. We are a rapidly growing software, systems, and operational support corporation dedicated to providing user-focused technologies for military and other security applications.

As a Java Software Engineer at CTI, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software applications
Work effectively as part of a team with a technical lead providing guidance and oversight
Provide and receive feedback in code reviews to maintain high code quality and adherence to coding standards
Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and practices
Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation that improve the stability, performance, and quality of the software
Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues
Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies
This is a hybrid position with a travel / in-person presence requirement as needed to customer sites (anticipated 2 days a week at customer site at Camp Pendleton AFB in Oceanside California).
Requirements
Necessary skills and experience
5 years of experience in programming, engineering, or related work
Proficiency in Java, C#, or similar object-oriented programming language
Version control systems, such as Git
Build tools, such as Gradle or Maven
Experience driving technical decisions, including the ability to break down problems, identify solutions, and communicate the process and conclusions to an engineering team
Initiative and the ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
Ability to communicate effectively via multiple mediums and with management, co-workers, and customers, both technical and non-technical
Proficiency in writing clean code and leveraging best practices for implementation, documentation, and testing
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field
The ability to obtain a US security clearance post start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.(Secret security clearance a plus)
Ability to travel at least 2 days a week to Camp Pendleton AFB in Oceanside California.
