Virtus Healthcare Staffing Seeks Registered Nurse - Acute Rehab for Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ID
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a regional medical center in Lewiston, ID to find a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Rehab. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled RN to play a vital role in helping patients recover from acute medical conditions, injuries, or surgeries within a dynamic rehabilitation setting.
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the Acute Rehab unit.
Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized care plans focused on patient rehabilitation and achieving optimal outcomes.
Monitor and document patients' physical and psychological status, progress, and response to treatment.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
Educate patients and families on disease management, medication administration, and self-care strategies to promote recovery.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients and families during the rehabilitation process.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean patient environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Idaho.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred (BSN strongly preferred).
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a medical-surgical (med-surg) unit within an acute care setting (preferred).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong understanding of adult medical-surgical nursing principles and practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and work independently while also functioning collaboratively within a team.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential.
Experience working in an acute rehabilitation setting.
Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
