Job Description:
Under the guidance of the Director of Nursing, the staff RN/LPN performs in accordance with physicians' orders.
Provide necessary nursing services to students in the residential program including distribution of medications as needed.
Conducts the initial and ongoing assessment of students' illness/injuries, updating the director/case manager/parent per protocols and determines the students' needs to be seen by a PCP, urgent care, or emergency department for injury/illness requiring further assessment.
Keeps ongoing communication/consultation with the student's family/Client, home physicians, case management, and residential and/or educational staff.
Administrative duties as needed such as scanning of medical documents, filing, updated medical records as needed, updating student files, etc.
Additional Responsibilities Will assist in supervising MNAs on clinical staff.
Licensure Requirements:
LPN License
BLS/ CPR Certificate
IV experience is required and IV Certification is preferred, not compulsory to have it.
Covid Card if vaccinated
