Under administrative direction, the purpose of the position is to assist in the processing and recording of fingerprints and related data. As an ANAB accredited unit, position adheres to accreditation standards by the American National Standards Institute National Accreditation Board (ANAB).
Position follows Organization of Scientific Area Committees (OSAC) best practices for the friction ridge discipline. Position complies with Biometric Identification Unit (BIU) Standard Operating Procedures Manual, Quality Assurance Manual, BIU Training Manual, and governmental mandates.
