All About You:

As the Application Engineer, you are a sales professional who specializes in understanding all technical aspects of our technical product and explaining them to potential consumers. Your duties include consulting on product development, explaining product features to customers during live demonstrations and possibly negotiating contract terms.
You will not only prepare presentations for clients but also assess the opportunity to see if the products meet customer demands. You will develop applications for sales departments and provide sales staff with technical product information and support.
Your duties include improving applications, performing installations and maintenance, and resolving client queries.

We are seeking a knowledgeable sales applications engineer to create high-end applications that will increase our company's sales. In this role, your duties will include developing software applications, tracking consumer trends, and training our sales department on the technical specifications of applications.
You will also be required to provide support to our customers. To ensure success as a sales applications engineer, you should demonstrate extensive experience in application engineering, as well as in-depth knowledge of a sales environment. Outstanding sales applications engineers ensure that their application expertise translates to product innovation and increased sales.

Requirements:

 •  A bachelor's degree in technical discipline such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
 •  Extensive experience in application engineering in a sales environment.
 •  Ability to liaise with management and the sales department on application development.
 •  Proficiency in training sales staff on product specifications and application functionalities.
 •  Exceptional ability to drive application innovation by analyzing consumer and competitor trends.
 •  Ability to evaluate client feedback and improve front end application functionality.
 •  Advanced ability to document processes, run diagnostic tests, and repair errors.
 •  Proficiency in providing clients with technical product and services support.
 •  Effective and clear verbal/written communications skills as well as negotiation, time management, organizational, project management, and presentation skills.
 •  Analytical ability and great problem-solving skills
 •  Presentation skills and ability to convey product value.
 •  High-level organization skills and self-confidence to support sales efforts.

Responsibilities:

 •  Perform analyses of software applications and services.
 •  Ensure that product offerings and functionalities are aligned with consumer trends.
 •  Consult with management and sales teams on product development.
 •  Perform application installations, updates, and maintenance to include system optimization and trouble shooting.
 •  Train salespeople and customers on product specifications and service offerings.
 •  Evaluate system performance metrics and improve front-end functionality.
 •  Improve application functionality by incorporating client feedback.
 •  Review product specifications and analyze competitor behavior.
 •  Perform diagnostic tests and resolve errors.
 •  Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how our products work.
