Overview:

The Senior Category Manager - Technology position sources, negotiates and contracts high-value/high-risk contracts, evaluates supplier proposals, leads negotiations and the development of contract award recommendations, and establishes and maintains strong supplier relationships.
This role supports the Technology Portfolio Manager for E2’s client.

Responsibilities:

 •  Executes Company purchasing process for high-complexity services and systems (including SAAS) assigned.
 •  Responsible for contract renewals, agreements, amendments, and addendums and ensures valid contracts are in place in the assigned categories.
 •  Leads proposal evaluations, evaluates supplier qualifications, and awards contracts
 •  Responsible for achieving the best value and optimizing Total Cost of Ownership within assigned categories.
 •  Within assigned sourcing categories, identifies suppliers, performs sourcing process including preparation and execution of RFx, reference checks, financial analysis, market analysis, negotiations/re-negotiations, spot buys, reporting trend analysis, and documentation.
 •  Responsible for identifying trends within the assigned category conducts market research/benchmarking and participates in the Company Demand Planning process.
 •  Evaluates and analyzes incumbent/market and potential suppliers by applying established evaluation and selection criteria; coordinates legal, risk, insurance, safety, etc. review of the contracts with internal and external stakeholders.
 •  Develops then executes negotiation strategies following alignment with the Technology Portfolio Manager and key stakeholders.
 •  Responsible for analyzing complex data from a range of different sources to complete Category Plan documents in accordance with Company templates and processes.
 •  Applies project management methodology and practices to manage a structured sourcing experience with a focus on quality to support efficient business processes.
 •  Collaborates with peers, and stakeholders (internal/external) to build and maintain a strong relationship with a focus on customer service and value creation.
 •  Responsible for meeting weekly and monthly objectives in the assigned Categories.
 •  Proactively resolves problems primarily related to Supply Chain using Supply Chain procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications:

 •  Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or related fields required. MBA / Masters in Supply Chain Management preferred.
 •  Significant experience (5+ years) in sourcing, negotiating complex terms, and implementing contracts with SAP and/or AWS is required.
 •  Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT Hardware, Software, SaaS, and IT Services is strongly preferred.
 •  Supply Chain or Project Management-related certifications (e.g., CPSM, Six Sigma, PMP) are considered an asset.

Wage Data Per State Requirements:

Salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
