We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Seasonal Agricultural Field Representatives to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for measuring and evaluating our soybean plots, running performance tests, and handling and maintaining detection equipment.
This position is for our plot in Galesburg, IL.
The ideal candidates will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and a passion for sustainable agriculture. This is a position that would run from April 2024 to September 2024. We would consider part-time (less than 30 hrs/wk) or full-time candidates for this role depending upon experience and availability.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain specialized equipment. We will train on how to use and handle the equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks as required.
Ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly before and during the testing process.
Conduct tests on soybean plots to evaluate their performance under different environmental conditions and management practices
Accurately measure and evaluate soybean plots according to established protocols
Coordinate with plot managers and nearby growers regarding data on crop growth, yield, and other relevant attributes
Document test results and communicate findings to the team members and supervisors
Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategies for improving measurement protocols
Communicate test results and working conditions to InnerPlant management
Ensure data quality and integrity by following strict protocols at all times
Be reliable, show up for work on time every day
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Ability to work weekends a plus
Previous experience in agriculture, field research, or a related field preferred
Knowledge of soybean cultivation and agronomic practices is preferred
Experience with electrical and mechanical systems is preferred
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols accurately
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs repeatedly
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and occasionally irregular hours
Provide own transportation to and from plot location
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-time

The US hourly range for this position is $18/hour - $22/hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
