Overview:
Greets the restaurant guests with a positive friendly attitude. Assures accurate payment is made for food items.
Responsibilities:
1. Answering phone, greeting customers, and keeping track of seat availability in restaurant.
2. Accountable and responsible for receiving paying for food items.
3. Responsible for resetting tables.
4. Responsible for cleaning host area, and entrance to restaurant.
5. Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to use a cash register and count currency. Ability to read and follow simple instructions to input debit and credit transactions, food coupons and vouchers. Ability to use a telephone. Ability to hear and speak clearly. Knowledge of alcohol awareness. Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food.
Ability to perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
