About Our Client

A reputable Nonprofit in Manhattan looking for a self starter HR assistant to join their fast paced team and support with all HR duties.

Job Description
 •  Ensure accurate maintenance of employee files such as required documents for licensed/certified professionals
 •  Screen telephone calls and answer routine inquiries
 •  Prepare new hire packets, on boarding material
 •  Conduct background checks for new hires
 •  Add new hires into system and ensure enrollment of employees in eligible benefits
 •  Complete requests for employment verification and changes to personal information
 •  Post open positions on the applicant tracking system and job boards
 •  Assist with other HR/Payroll duties as assigned

The Successful Applicant
 •  1 year of experience in HR
 •  Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
 •  Familiarity with payroll processes
 •  Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
 •  Ability to maintain confidentiality
 •  Strong interpersonal skills
 •  Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
 •  Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite products
 •  Ability to quickly learn a variety of HR/Payroll processes
 •  Experience with work day or ADP HRIS systems preferred
